College App Deadlines

Seniors should have all of their college applications submitted by Thanksgiving, or sooner depending on the college/university.  Also, please remember that FAFSA goes LIVE this year on December 31st instead of in October, because they are making some changes.

The Coventry Local Scholarship applications will be available no later than March 1st. 

Financial Aid Night

On Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 5:30 pm in the high school theater, the School Counseling Department will host our annual Financial Aid Night.  Every college bound senior and their parents should plan to attend.  All types of financial aid will be explored, including FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), grants, loans, and scholarships.  FAFSA goes LIVE this year on December 31st..

College Credit Plus (CCP) Information Night

On Thursday, November 30, 2023 at 7:00 pm in the high school theater, the School Counseling Department will host their annual College Credit Plus (CCP) Informational Night.  This is a mandatory meeting for anyone considering CCP for the 2024-2025 school year.

Nov            16 - Sophomore Field Trip to PLCC

Dec           1-15 - End of Course exam retests for those necessary 
 
Feb             8 - Scheduling Orientation for incoming 9th - 6:00 pm high school theater
                   27 -ACT testing for juniors/Optional ASVAB for kids that signed up   

March        6- College Planning - meeting with juniors - 1:50 in the hs theater
 
April             - Awards Program 9th-12th - daytime
 
May          7 - Students of Distinction Dinner (by invitation) 5:30 p.m.
                 14 - Senior Scholarship Night (by invitation) 6:30 p.m.

Ohio Means Jobs

The Coventry Local Schools will be utilizing OhioMeansJobs to deliver career exploration and advising activities in grades 6-12. Students will create a free account and have access to it from any computer.The school counseling department will be conducting these activities with your student. We encourage parents to work with their students in exploring these activities.
