College App Deadlines
Seniors should have all of their college applications submitted by Thanksgiving.  Many colleges now have priority deadlines of December 1st.  Also, please remember that FAFSA goes LIVE on October 1st.   
Scholarships
Please check the guidance bulletin board or scholarship bin weekly for updated scholarship opportunities.  The Coventry Local Scholarships will be available no later than March 1st.

Oct            11 - PSAT - optional Pre-SAT for juniors that signed up                  

Nov           2 - Financial Aid Night - seniors - 6:00 pm - Theater
                  
                  2 - College Credit Plus Night -interested 7th-12th graders-7:30 pm-Theater
            
                  29 - PLCC at CHS to visit English 10 classes
 
Dec           4-8 - End of Course exam retests for those necessary 
 
Jan            18 - Freshmen Scheduling Orientation (incoming 9th) - 6:30 pm - Theater
 
Feb            5- Sophomore Field Trip to PLCC  
                   
                  27 - ACT testing for juniors
 
March       12 - College Planning - meeting with juniors - 2:00 
 
April           26 - Underclass Awards
 
May         8 - Senior Academic Awards and Scholarship Night (by invitation) 6:00 p.m.
                  

                
Ohio Means Jobs
The Coventry Local Schools will be utilizing OhioMeansJobs to deliver career exploration and advising activities in grades 6-12. Students will create a free account and have access to it from any computer.The school counseling department will be conducting these activities with your student. We encourage parents to work with their students in exploring these activities.
