Welcome!

I'm Looking Forward to a Great Year!

I would like to weclome all of my students and tell them something about me.  I have been teaching for 20 years and love it.  I still get excited to begin a new year with new faces and personalities. I am orginally form Albuquerque, New Mexico and moved to Akron to attend the University where I majored in Ballet.  My plan was to go to New York City, but I met my husband and my plans changed.  I live with my husband in Cuyahoga Falls.  We have two grown sons who are married.  When they were small I stayed home with them and decided I would enjoy being a teacher.  I went back to Akron U and received my education degree.  Since then I've taught 2nd grade, 7th and 8th grade science, and attended Kent State University to earn a Masters in Special Education.  I have worked in Coventry for the past 13 years as a tutor, 7th and 3rd grade resource teacher and an inclusion teacher.  I love working in Coventry and am glad to be in 3rd grade again this year.  I enjoy the challenge of helping students learn, perform, and achieve at their highest level.  I can't wait for the year to begin, and I know it will be a great one!
