Dear Parents,

Did you know that you have a right to know the professional qualifications of your child’s teacher(s)? This includes information pertaining to:

• Whether the teacher has met State qualification and licensing criteria for the grade levels and subject areas taught;
• Whether the teacher is teaching under emergency or temporary status through which State qualifications or licensing criteria are waived;
• The teacher's baccalaureate degree major, graduate certification or degree, and field of discipline; and
• Whether the student is provided services by paraprofessionals and, if so, their qualifications.
