Welcome to Coventry High School
Excitement is in the air at Coventry High School! This summer our building has been transformed into a 9-12 comprehensive high school with an extensive focus on state-of-the art technology. Bringing the freshman to the high school has opened doors for them academically. They will now have the opportunity to take higher-level courses, obtain needed remediation, and be part of a traditional high school. This will benefit them both academically and athletically.
Students have been the focus of this renovation from the very beginning. Additional lockers have been installed for their convenience. The cafeteria has been renovated to house more students and make lunchtime more efficient. The new section of the building will house the English Department, allowing every student access each day. The brand new Media Center and additional computer labs will be excellent resources for students and teachers. The art rooms have been expanded to allow student creativity to flow. These are only a few of the improvements made to bring our high school into the 21st century!
We are proud to again be rated an EXCELLENT high school in the State of Ohio. This is an achievement that has been attained for the past six years! Our teachers continually work to improve the delivery of classroom instruction, while seeking the highest level of student achievement. Communication between school and home is imperative to this success. We ask you to help your child stay organized and to realize the importance of completing work on time. Each student will receive a planner to help them keep track of assignments and important dates.
We also believe that school needs to be more than just academics. We offer many clubs, sports, and activities. Help us encourage your child to make school an all-around experience by being involved.
I am excited to see all the great things our students will accomplish this year. I am so proud of our students, staff and facilities! Together we are off to an awesome 2011-2012 school year!
