College App Deadlines

Seniors should have all of their college applications submitted by Thanksgiving, or sooner depending on the college/university.   Also, please remember that FAFSA goes LIVE on October 1st.   


Please check the guidance bulletin board weekly for updated scholarship opportunities.  The Coventry Local Scholarships will be available no later than March 1st. 

Financial Aid Night

On Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 6:00 pm in the high school theater the Guidance Department will host our annual Financial Aid Night.  Every college bound senior and their parents should plan to attend.  All types of financial aid will be explored, including FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid), grants, loans, and scholarships.  FAFSA goes LIVE this year October 1st.

College Credit Plus (CCP) Information Night

On Thursday, October 28, 2021 at 7:30 pm in the high school theater the Guidance Department will host their annual College Credit Plus (CCP) Informational Night.  This is a mandatory meeting for anyone considering CCP for the 2022-2023 school year.

Oct            25 - PLCC at CHS to visit English 10 classes 

                  28 - Financial Aid Night - seniors - 6:00 pm high school theater

                  28 - College Credit Plus Night -interested 7th-12th graders-7:30 pm high school theater

Nov           22 - Sophomore Field Trip to PLCC 
Dec           1-17 - End of Course exam retests for those necessary 
March        1 -  ACT testing for juniors/Practice ACT for sophomores/Optional ASVAB for kids that signed up 
                   ? - College Planning - meeting with juniors - 1:15 and 2:00 - must sign up in advance
April/May    Awards Program 9th-12th - daytime
May          10 - Top 10 Banquet (by invitation) 6:30 p.m.
                 17 - Senior Scholarship Night (by invitation) 6:30 p.m.


Ohio Means Jobs

The Coventry Local Schools will be utilizing OhioMeansJobs to deliver career exploration and advising activities in grades 6-12. Students will create a free account and have access to it from any computer.The school counseling department will be conducting these activities with your student. We encourage parents to work with their students in exploring these activities.
