New State Testing: Round One to Begin in February!
Coventry teachers and students continue to work hard in preparation for Ohio’s new state testing. Round one of testing will begin for our students the week of February 16, and continue through March 13. Please read more for details.
NO Electronic Devices Permitted During State Testing
Under Ohio law, all electronic devices
(including cell phones, iPods, iPads) not being used for test administration must be collected from students prior to the test administration (including if they have finished the test but other students have not).  Therefore, we are asking students to leave cell phones at home on testing dates.  If a student must bring his/her cell phone to school, they will be collected prior to testing and placed in a secure location until after the testing session is complete.
Grateful Gram
Congratulations Mrs. Lawson and Mrs. Bever! During the timeframe of Thanksgiving until Winter Break, the teachers were encouraged to participate in a “Grateful Gram” contest. The Grateful Gram Contest was a chance to encourage students to share their gratitude for others by thanking them through a short videogram. However, there was a catch! The videos had to incorporate rich and robust vocabulary in unique and innovative ways. Watch the video here.
